Follow-Up: Cynthia Barber Presentation & Dylan Hicks Salon

We had two great events last week!

Monday's lunch presentation featured Cynthia Barber of Medtronic who discussed using LinkedIn for competitive intelligence.  Cynthia was kind enough to share her slides with us — you'll find them here: Download Barber – LinkedIn Tips 2012.  Thank you, Cynthia, for sharing your knowledge with us and giving us a deeper dive into this growing resource.  Kudos also to Donna Koenig and Judy Galt who hosted the lunch at the Land O'Lakes headquarters.

Many of us left Wednesday evening's salon at Magers & Quinn with a copy of Dylan Hicks' new book Boarded Windows or a copy of the accompanying soundtrack.  The author reading and performance was unique and entertaining.  Over refreshments after the reading, we talked about trends in fiction …  Join in Salon Convener Jennifer Hahs' conversation at the MN-SLA LinkedIn Group to share your thoughts.  Thanks to Sonia Krinke for coordinating the event.

Next up:  Chicago Happy Hour at SLA 2012, and Second Harvest Volunteer Event with MALL on 8.4.12.  Stay tuned for details!
